ANNE, AR36, 1702, Accession, Mint State
MI227/1 Accession medal. Type with no acorn before the E in ENTIRELY. Superbly toned in multicoloured swathes of color over reflective fields, quite possibly the prettiest example of this medal you will ever see. In Jan 2025 Heritage sold another medal graded by NGC as MS63. This example was horribly scuffed and bagmarked with dull surfaces, but still sold for over $2000 . Also in January 2025, a Stacks Bowers Auction sold the highest graded by NGC, an MS64 example for $4600.00 plus buyers fee. That medal was very nice and displayed multicoured toning. It deserved the grade. By comparison, the example offered for sale here is much closer to the MS64 graded medal but is priced at roughly half of what the MS64 medal brought. Ex Glendinning sale March 21 1990 LOT 311, NGC MS63
