William III, 1697B, Sixpence EXT RARE COUNTERFEIT
S3532 EXTEMELY RARE COUNTERFEIT First bust, Bristol mint, later harp, small crowns. Lettering all wrong, no harp strings, English arms poorly done. The portrait is nice but the coin screams contemporary counterfeit. Wildly toned in electric blues and gold. Likely struck from low grade silver the obverse is pitted probably from being lost and buried for centuries and having the alloy leach out. wt 2.53gr vs the nominal weight of 2.9gr. F
