S2354 mm star on obverse only, Durham mint, Sovereign style: Excellent portrait, very scarce this nice. The reverse features the central shield with the arms of England and the initials C and D on either side.  The initials stand for Bishop (Cuthbert) Tunstall, who came to the Bishop’s throne after Wolsey fell from grace and was removed by Henry VIII in 1530.
