Charles II, 1675/4, Sixpence, BUT NOT REALLY THE OVERDATE
S3382/E1513? Nicely toned over lustrous surfaces. NGC lists this coin as an overdate on the holder, but it is not the overdate. The 5 in the date has been struck over another 5 which didn’t align perfectly at the bottom of the serif resulting in a mashed effect at the bottom of the five. The over strike is definitely not over a 4. This coin, not being the overdate, is therefore the highest graded 1675 sixpence by NGC. But in any event, it is a really pretty 17th century coin retaining nearly full original lustre. The high points on the portrait suffer from cabinet friction and the fields evidence some small tic marks hidden under the toning. A nice coin for the grade.
